if you must, you may disagree, but i firmly believe that there is something genuinely addictive in that dish called 'manchurian' - that ubiquitous food of the darshini's and copycat north Indian restaurants usually run by traditional southies.
Any wedding/reception you go to has the cauliflower(traditional) or baby corn (more recent) version of this dish.
I've kinda learned to predict these buffets before-hand nowadays. If its a reception, there is almost a 90% chance that you will see my favourite manchurian along with the usual maida preparations of paratha, naan or roomali...

Chennayin'

Whats the first word that comes to your mind on getting off at Chennai - ? Sauna-like heat, No-Metre autorikshaws, the wide and expansive Anna Salai, the stinky Coombh and Marina Beach. Went there, experienced all that in 24hrs, and was back in the safe cocoon that is Bangalore- there's no place like it.

You'd think kids would like to eat some real junk food coz their tastes are kinda finicky. Not the case with avi. He will eat anything, anytime. Had him with me on Saturday in a real playful mood. Had kept my jacket on the sofa and he immediately took a fancy to the metal button. For some reason, all he did was gnaw at it feverishly for sometime before I intervened. Very photogenic-like sahil. Wanted to get this guy for a while and this turned out to be the best yet.
