New years eve friday

Friday comes up with a ponderous question. What to do on Saturday. Let see....

Swimming
Bank Work
Cooking
Loaf
Movie
Dinner
Bed

There. Thats the plan for ushering the new year. Dont plan to go ballistic at 12am. Been there, done that quite a few times. Would rather watch a movie, have a quick dinner and call it a day, and change the calendar the next day!!!

Work seems to be fun, at least the people around seem nice. Getting used to switching roles from a pure tech job to a more mgmt orientd one.

Terror Visits Bangalore!!!

Reflections on what happened last night. Bangalore joined the list of cities that terrorists have struck. A most unlikely place for this to have taken place- IISc, a place more for peace-mongers than war hawks. I'd side with the latter all the while since I believe civilizations are built by war, not peace (weird thought?).
Anyway, where was I when it happened? Out with Lalith,John & TF in Koshy's having dinner. In our very Indian way, we spoke about it a few minutes, TF adding that he was in Cambodia and had fired an AK-47. Our only question was what he was doing in Cambodia of all places??
Thoughts today are what the government is going to do about this attack. Ponappa's illustrations and caricatures on the chief minister and his hidden master (read ragi-ball gowda) sure inspires little hope. I guess we could all get along with our dily work and let the authorities do what they have to do.

Tavern seems to be a nice pub. Just my second time in one. They seem to have good music too, though the prices are HIGH (or am I 'outdated'?)- 2pints beer, 4 small rum w/ coke & 1 fresh lime soda = Rs 850 !!!!!

Think I can spend a few minutes everyday to reflect on things.
Thoughts for today - get donw with analysis and meet up with college friends in the evening
swimming on the weekend and pasta cooking probably Saturday.
Must try to squeeze a photo project in on Saturday. need to experiment with lens add-ons with the fluzi
